BREADCRUMB

Transportation and Parking

Whether you walk, bike, drive, or take the metro bus for free, we want you to have a smooth and safe commute to school. Juniors and seniors may apply for a Student Parking Permit by following the application process linked below. All students can take advantage of free metro bus rides with an ORCA card or student ID.

Student Parking Permit Application

We have a limited number of parking spaces to accommodate students who drive to school. To secure a parking permit, students must complete and submit a printed application along with all required documents to the Interlake High School Main Office. Learn more and apply for a Student Parking Permit for the 2024-25 school year.

Parking Policies

  • Students must comply with the Bellevue School District Parking Policy, Interlake Student Parking Policy and Student Parking Violations. Refer to the stated sections below.
  • Staff parking pass permits are issued through the Main Office and used to park at any of the Staff designated parking provided at the school. Areas assigned to Student parking are reserved for students with valid parking permits during the hours 6:30am-4:00pm. Staff are to comply with the Bellevue School District Parking Policy. Refer to the stated section below.
  • Visitor, Disabled and Delivery/Loading zone parking is reserved for those persons authorized or conducting business with the school.

Metro Transit: Orca Card

All youth will be able to ride transit for free by doing one of the following:

  • Tapping your ORCA card when you board and exit
  • Showing your current high school or middle school student ID card
  • If you don’t have either, you can still ride for free

Public transit is free for riders 18 and younger thanks to Move Ahead Washington, a statewide transportation funding package.

To ensure ORCA cards stay active for next school year, register your card through King County Metro: https://info.myorca.com/youth-ride-free/

When Will ORCA Cards Be Available?

ORCA cards will be available for students at each high school’s or choice school’s Taking Care of Business / Orientation Day, as well as during the school year.

Any questions regarding ORCA cards can be emailed to: bsdmetrocard@bsd405.org
