BSD High School and Beyond Plan: Preparing Students for Their Future

BSD High School and Beyond Plan: Preparing Students for Their Future

Washington state and the Bellevue School District have adopted SchooLinks as the universal solution to fulfill the statewide High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP) requirements for all secondary students. In working on their High School and Beyond Plan, BSD encourages students in grades 6-12 to take ownership of their learning while exploring their values, strengths, passions and long-term goals. Students can then focus their learning on the skills necessary to reach their goals. The HSBP is a map to get a student from where they are to where they want to be, both academically and in life.

Grades 8-11 to Submit High School and Beyond Plans in SchoolLinks

BSD students in grades 6-11 have been working on their annual High School and Beyond plan in SchooLinks all year. Students in grades 8-11 will be submitting their 25-26 HSBP in the SchooLinks platform this spring.

Families will receive an email and possibly a text notification after students submit their plans this spring. Families are encouraged to visit their SchooLinks accounts to review their students’ plans. Clicking the approval button for the plan is optional. Visit the SchooLinks webpage on the district website for guardian account login instructions.

12th grade students will submit their 25-26 HSBPs in Naviance.

BSD Community Service Hours Tracking is Moving to SchooLinks

Bellevue School District requires all students to complete 40 hours of community service — starting after they finish eighth grade and no later than June of their senior year — to graduate. Students have been logging their volunteer hours using the x2VOL platform. After June 18, 2026, BSD will no longer use x2VOL to track hours. Over the summer, we will transfer all approved hours for every current student from x2VOL to SchooLinks. Starting in September 2026, BSD students in grades 9-12 will receive instructions on how to log their community service hours, including any hours they completed over the summer, in SchooLinks.

Action Required: Current students in grades 9-12, please enter all your earned community service hours to date into the x2VOL platform prior to June 18, 2026. After that date, continuing students please keep a log of your hours, to be entered in SchooLinks in September 2026. Both applications can be accessed via Clever

Fall 2026: BSD Class of 2027 will use the College Application Manager in SchooLinks

The Bellevue School District class of 2027 will start to learn about the College Application Manager functionality in SchooLinks this spring and will “go live” in the platform starting in September 2026.
